Visa and Entry Requirements
Though we had expected a visa waiver, the Government of Kenya has confirmed that this will NOT be provided. Kenya issues three categories of visa as follows: Countries whose Nationals do not require Visas to enter Kenya;
- Countries whose Nationals do not require Visas to enter Kenya;
- Countries whose nationals may be issued with a Visa on application and without reference to the Director of Immigration (Visa on Arrival or from Kenya Missions abroad or from online visa application via: www.ecitizen.go.ke.)
- Referred Visa: This is for countries falling under category 3 of the Kenyan Visa regulations and whose nationals are required to obtain a visa in advance before departing for Kenya. Visa can be applied through the nearest Kenyan mission abroad. In case of any difficulties, contact us for assistance. For expedited visa application, delegates from ‘Referred Visa’ countries are advised to submit their request to the HLM2 Secretariat through the Delegation Coordinator.
Delegates are advised to obtain a visa at least one month prior to travel. The visa costs are 50 USD for offline applications and 51 USD for online applications.
All diplomatic and service passport holders attending the HLM2 will be issued with courtesy (gratis) visa.
Passports should be valid for at least six (6) months on the date of entry and should have at least two (2) unused pages when presented for endorsements.

Yellow Fever vaccination certificates will be required from delegates coming from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission or who have transited through countries with risk of yellow fever transmission for 12 or more hours or anybody from a country currently reporting an active or on-going outbreak of yellow fever. Travelers should be vaccinated at least ten (10) days before travel.
